Toyoda Gosei to set up in Canada

In light of automotive production growth in the North America, Japanese automotive supplier Toyoda Gosei is investing US$11 million to set up a new plant for automotive interior/exterior products in Ontario, Canada.

To operate under the subsidiary TG Minto, the plant will supply components to Toyota. The firm currently has four plants manufacturing automotive parts: sealing parts at the WTG Waterville plant, the Coachcock plant and the Ontario plant, and interior and exterior parts at the TG Minto Palmerston plant.

The latest addition will be its fifth and is expected to start up by July this year. It will produce instrument panel parts, pillar garnishes, column hole covers and other components.
