StackTeck expands to Thailand; catering to growing SEA market

Last year witnessed continued beverage market growth in Asia Pacific, which was earlier forecast to reach a turnover of US$3.23 trillion. The region’s unquenchable beverage consumption further drives this growth in the coming years. By 2021, Asia is projected to contribute two-thirds of global incremental beverage consumption, according to research firm Canadean’s latest global beverage forecast. It stated that apart from China, other key growing markets in the region, including India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Thailand and Vietnam, would vie as top incremental providers in the next five years.

Meanwhile, the beverage market in Thailand has remained strong over the past few years, with juices, nectars, soft drinks, isotonics and teas (JNSDIT) and liquid dairy products (LDP) performing particularly well, achieving sales of 7 billion units and 8 billion units respectively in 2015. PET is already well established as a popular packaging material in Thailand, with a CAGR of 7% forecast for the same period – the largest growth of any liquid packaging material.

Thus, it is no surprise that Canada’s mould builder StackTeck Systems is expanding its network in Asia. It recently added to its global sales and marketing team, Suthipote Limpiviroj, who will be supporting the Southeast Asia market as StackTeck’s regional sales representative, based in Bangkok, Thailand.

The company says that as a recognised innovator in the design and manufacture of injection moulds for the rigid food container, beverage closure, medical, and consumer products packaging industries, StackTeck has experienced significant growth in the region and has invested in an experienced technical sales representative to support its activities.

“We have made significant investments in engineering, machine tool technology, and testing facilities and are pleased to add regional sales expertise with a focus on support to our customers in Southeast Asia. StackTeck is proud to have Suthipote (Win) join our growing family.” said Henry Rozema, Vice President, Business Development and Innovation.

StackTeck’s head office is located in Canada, with additional sales representatives in both Mexico and Colombia.
