IPF Japan to be held virtually in November

With plastics shows going virtual, Japan’s IPF will be held from 18-20 November. IPF Japan 2020 was originally scheduled to be held from 6-10 October at Makuhari Messe near Tokyo. International Plastic Fair Association (IPF), the organiser, says the virtual show will feature 373 exhibitors, including co-exhibitors, over 208 booths and six pavilions; with 15,000 online visitors expected.

Plastics and rubber moulding specialists of various scales from large Japanese companies to small and medium-sized companies will be featured. The exhibition is open 24 hours a day, so visitors with time differences from Japan can attend the show during their own business hours.

The latest plastic-related technologies from raw materials to processing machinery, contract manufacturing and processing, and recycling will be brought together. Exhibitors who are specialists in their respective fields will introduce their solutions, such as the industry's trend for "IoT proposals to achieve precise moulding, reduce defective products and reduce moulding costs at the same time" and "technical proposals for environmental issues, which are becoming more and more important every year," among others.

Exhibitors will be stationed at their booths during the three days of the show to attend to visitors. Some exhibitors will be stationed at the booth 24 hours a day to accommodate visitors from outside Japan. Using the chat and webinar functions, people can contact each other in a virtual space. Visitors can get product information from Japanese companies, and talk to the exhibitors directly, just by going online.

There will also be a number of online seminars and demonstrations that can only be seen during the show. Please refer to the IPF official website for a summary of each company's seminar: https://www.ipfjapan.jp/english/
