Arburg sets up subsidiary in Vietnam

German injection moulding machine maker Arburg has taken another significant step towards increasing its local presence worldwide by opening a new subsidiary in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The main aim is to bring Arburg products and services closer to customers in Vietnam, it adds.

Now, with the new subsidiary in Vietnam, Arburg says it has organisations at 36 locations in 26 countries worldwide and, together with its trading partners, is represented in over 100 countries overall.

This is how the company makes sure that all required specialists are there whenever customers need them – living up to the Arburg brand promise "Wir sind da", it adds.

The decision to establish this subsidiary is based on the intention to make products and services available to this growing market with greater ease, speed and reliability.

As David Chan, Managing Director ASEAN, explains: "Vietnam’s strategic location in the ASEAN region makes it an important location for our company’s further growth. This move will enable us to further expand our strong presence in the ASEAN markets. The plastics industry is constantly evolving. Our presence in Vietnam means we can fully meet the needs of a rapidly developing market. We can respond to local demand and serve customers directly with innovative solutions and quality products from the Arburg portfolio".

With its presence in Vietnam, Arburg says it is committing to an improved and more sustainable future for plastics production in the ASEAN region. The new subsidiary has a small, dedicated team of sales and service experts with an understanding of both Arburg technology and the local market.

Arburg Vietnam is also networked with the other subsidiaries in the Asian market as well as the Arburg Technology Factory (ATF) in Pinghu, China, says Arburg.
