Ahmedabad-based Ferromatik Milacron India (FMI) demonstrated its injection moulding machinery recently at its Vatva facility. The over 800 visitors that attended were purview to a two-component machine, built in India for the first time, according to FMI.
Other machines on display included a 32-cavity PET production system complete with auxiliary and conveying; in-mould labelling system for a thin wall container boasting what the company says is a record breaking low cycle time and a 550-tonne all-electric machine, the largest to be built in India. During the Open House, the company also unveiled its Hydron hydraulic machines, from 100-450 tonnes.
Established in 1995, FMI has a capacity to manufacture 2,000 machines/year.
