Arburg celebrates 25 years in Malaysia

25 years of ARBURG

German machinery maker Arburg commemorated its 25th anniversary in Malaysia with a glittering event, in the presence of Managing Partner Juliane Hehl and Managing Director Sales Gerhard Böhm, as well as around 150 invited guests.

Arburg’s story in Malaysia started in 1989 with the sale of its first two Allrounder machinery. Since then, with the development of the Malaysian market, it has witnessed further success.

"The establishment of our own subsidiary in 1992 was a significant milestone and marked an important step towards the successful development of our company in the Asia region," said Gerhard Böhm at the event.

"Our aim was, and remains, to provide first class and comprehensive local support to our customers in Malaysia," Böhm added.

The subsidiary was expanded after only four years, doubling the usable space to 250 sq m. Initially, customers were primarily small family-run businesses that worked with between 10 and 20 machines.

Over the past decades, Arburg says many global players have also invested in Malaysia. “Our customers' machine fleets now comprise between 50 and 100 Allrounders. This enables high-quality plastic parts to be produced for the packaging, medical technology and automotive industries, as well as for the electrical and electronics sector," said Böhm.
