Piovan moves to new hq in the US; to double capacity in future

Piovan moves to new hq in the US

Italian auxiliary equipment maker Piovan Group’s subsidiary in the US, Universal Dynamics, has completed its move from Woodbridge to Fredericksburg Virginia, recently.

The newly outfitted structure, which occupies 10,000 sq m, was designed with lean manufacturing practices in mind, and will allow the company to double its production capacity.

The new premises are also the new headquarters of the Piovan Group in North America.

Storage, conveying, blending, drying and size reduction equipment, along with supervisory software solutions, are now being produced in the new factory.

In 2019, the new facility in Fredericksburg will also become the manufacturing centre for the Aquatech process water-cooling equipment, imported for about three years now from Aquatech Italy. Aquatech is a Piovan Group company that supplies process water solutions and temperature control systems to the industries Piovan serves.

With its Aquatech production, Universal Dynamics will become the first manufacturer of high efficiency adiabatic fluid-coolers in the US.

With the factory in full production, the company will host an official opening in October and expects visitors from Canada, the US and Mexico, with live demonstrations of new technologies and plant tours demonstrating manufacturing capabilities.
